This is the best tip in the world! It’s that simple. The staff are friendly and informative and I just love going there! I used to have a pretty great den/treehouse in one of the trees behind this tip as well, so it’s lovely to see that old tree still thriving while I dump my junk and recycle my recyclables.
It's brilliant! They have all these windows where you can put your different types of rubbish, and then, as if by magic it gets taken away.
First time I went a guy told me off for wearing orange hi vis like they do but that's My work wear and I'd just finished work so hadn't changed. 2nd time the gate man wanted to check load in van, one bucket of rubble accidentally spilled all over the road at the entrance while other cars waited, others came and they offered to help clean up but all they did was stand there while me and my Mrs cleaned it all up. I Went in another time and they wanted to check through the entire contents of a wheelie bin, which was exactly what we declared was in it, they refused to let us discard of some (recyclable Plastic) items for no reason, and today I was told to recycle better because I hadn't taken a piece of tape off a cardboard box, and was told to take it back from the chute which is dangerous. UPDATE. Went to the site again (Not by choice) and was accused of throwing a dustbin full of plastic bags and packaging into the wood section when all there was in it was remains of a broken up fence panel, the attendant walked over as if he was about to start a fight, I told him to check if he didn't believe me, and instead of apologising for the accusation he just grunted and walked off.
