Taxi pick up from Manchester Piccadilly on Friday afternoon. I changed times, brought forward by an hour just a couple of hours before arriving- no problem. Driver was there waiting when I arrived and we had a nice fire chat. All good.
Cab didn’t turn up on time and nearly missed my train after giving it +20 mins - had to make alternative arrangements. I then had three follow on calls asking where I was after agreeing with the controller I’d have to make other arrangements. The controller was very polite and apologetic the driver seemed annoyed. I have to base the review on my experience but colleagues have faired better. I’ll give streetcars another chance and hope to be able to pen a better review ….
The taxi was there dead on time and I arrived at my destination early. The driver (394) was polite and friendly, and the journey was smooth and comfortable. It was a pleasure to be driven by him.
